We are thrilled to be able to offer this very rare book from the Gov. LeRoy Collins estate at The Grove in Tallahassee, Florida.  The author, Caroline Mays Brevard, was a relative of Governor Collins.  We were privileged to purchase many volumes from this historic estate.  There were actually 3 copies of this set present there at The Grove (which is amazing itself, considering the rarity), and we were able to purchase one of the sets while the others were kept by the family and the State of Florida for historic purposes.  These few sets were given to Brevard's family members there at The Grove which would explain the presence of several copies.  This set was a limited edition of 325 numbered copies;  however, the present copy was never numbered as it was likely given to a family member and never made available for sale.  This set will include a letter (see photos below) attesting to the provenance.

Having been allowed by the State of Florida and the Collins family to select only one of the sets for purchase, we chose the finest set, complete in their original slip-cases and onion-skin dust covers, with pages in Fine and uncut condition.  The text pages are like new.  The cloth bindings are Near Fine with only a few small instances of toning.  There are also additional title labels laid into each volume (as to allow the owner to place the labels on the slip-cases, if desired).  The text and illustrations are like new with half of the pages uncut (unopened at the outer margin).  The very thin dust wrappers are toned and chipped in places as one would expect;  it is highly unusual for them to have survived at all.  The slip-cases also have some minor tears, splits, soiling, etc.
