How could a work published in 1723 be translated into English for the first time in 1951?  It truly is amazing, and the St. Augustine Historical Society did an excellent job as did the Univerisity of Florida Press who produced this printing in a period style on fine laid paper.  At first glance, it appears to be a facsimile of the original 18th century edition due to the style in which it is printed;  in fact a facsimile of the original title page is included.  This is a limited edition of 999 copies, of which this is number 820.  This history covers the events in Florida from the early 1500s up to the early 1700s.  This is another book purchased from the historical estate at The Grove in Tallahasse, Florida, and its former owner was former governor LeRoy Collins who lived with his family at The Grove.

The condition of this book is like new.  The binding is a limp faux vellum (actually a sort of cloth), and the pages of this large book are beautifully printed in 18th period style on a period style laid paper.  There is a very light and mellow cream color to the pages.  An excellent copy with a clear protective plastic cover.  A letter attesting to the provenance will be provided with your purchase (see photo, below).
