This wonderful book is offered in excellent condition with only light surface imperfections to the period full calf binding. Internally, the book grades Near Fine (the highest grade we give to any book more than 50 years old) and appears entirely unread and untouched. Only the first two blank leaves have some spots, and the remainder of the book is extremely bright, fresh, and crisp.
This title is extremely scarce, and only modern reprints are typically found. Jephson's discourse provides an in- depth look at the Biblical and doctrinal instructions for observing the Sabbath and is heavily foot-noted throughout. Some of the specifics include the changing of the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first and the worship of God as it relates to the laws of nature. In many ways, the work borders on the philosophical. This is a very rare work, and the condition of this example is as good as it gets.
