This is a truly rare set of art books in great condition, and it's very competitively priced! The set features 13 total color plates and 356 black and white plates. Both volumes are generally in great condition, especially internally. Starting on the outside...the slipcase is a bit dirty with the paper fraying on some extremities. There are two stickers (seller's stickers) on the case as well as you can see in the photos. The dust jackets are Good only with one volume having a large tear and the second volume missing about one inch or so of the lower portion. We have put the jackets in mylar covers to prevent future wear, and the jackets are still quite attractive as photos will show. The boards are in great condition. The bindings are holding very well. The first volume has a gutter repair and a cracked hinge at the rear -- however, the binding is very well intact. The other volume has no binding issues at all. There are seller's stickers on the lower, inner pastedowns (see photos). The text and plates are basically like new. The title page of volume 2 does have a light brown spot -- otherwise, the set is nearly perfect. Overall, this is a great set in wonderful condition, rare being housed in its original slipcase, having both jackets. Priced well below the $2000 that some dealers demand!
