This is a great 1st edition book, signed by both author and illustrator. Wolf Robe Hunt recounts various Acoma Indian legends and stories and these are narrated by Helen Rushmore. Hunt was an Acoma chief. The full-color illustrations present throughout (more than a dozen) are all by Hunt and are painted in the old flat style of the Acoma Indians.
First edition stated on copyright page. Signed by both Hunt and Rushmore on the title page. Book is Fine in condition, and the jacket is Very Good with a few small chips and marginal tears.
